Better known in just about every other room of the house, sconces actually work wonders in the kitchen. They add a bit of glamour and whimsical function to your kitchen. “It’s a great way to add an unexpected element to the space,” said Normandy Designer Liz Reifschneider. “Even though they are smaller, they are just as important as other bigger lighting to complete the look of the room.”
“Have a little fun when selecting sconces,” added Liz “They should work with the aesthetic of the room, but can be a unique shape like a glass globe or vintage inspired lights. They are a nice alternative to recessed can lights, and just imagine the welcoming light a few sconces give, if left on for late night arrivals.”
