From the marble backsplash to the crystal chandeliers, this Arlington Heights kitchen remodel has a straightforward sense of glamour. Shiny pops of metal also appear throughout the space. As a result, this transitional kitchen is classic and captivating, but with a slight edge.
Obvious reflective metal elements include the cabinetry hardware, stainless steel appliances, polished chrome faucets and a hammered metal range hood. However, there are also more subtle design choices that give a glimpse of metal. These include the toe kicks, recessed can lighting trim 
and accents within the chandelier. These design decisions add a shine to everyday pieces that can otherwise be overlooked.
While the metal finishes dazzle, there are also other design decisions that add drama. This includes reflective white quartz countertops and an ebony island with a three-inch mitered edge. Additionally, a marble slab backsplash, floating shelves and glass cabinetry top off the look.
Not only does this kitchen succeed in style, it also sets the bar high when it comes to storage and functionality. Features include a pantry with frosted doors and an opposing shelving nook with refrigerator drawers below. Two dishwashers help lighten the load when it comes to clean up. The upgraded refrigerator and range also enhance user-experiences within the kitchen.
While the renovation was taking place, the homeowners also took the opportunity to add a custom built-in for their crystal stemware. Additionally, they updated their hall bath with porcelain tile and large, custom vanity with a cobblestone satin sheen.
