What I mean by that is Normandy Builders seems to have “figured it out” and “gets it” when it comes to understanding what it takes to take a typically stressful situation for a homeowner and turning it into a pleasant, exciting and at many times a fun experience.

I have to credit this to the expertise of your sales department,  superintendent and the professionalism of your chosen contractors.

I can’t say enough good things when it comes to your sales person Ann Stockard and your superintendent Al Lovas.

Ann’s expertise and her knowledge of the industry was extremely helpful with making  my wife and I feel comfortable with our design choices and giving us the confidence we needed to move forward on both of our home addition projects.

When it comes to managing a project I don’t think you could find a better person than Al Lovas !

Al really seems to have an understanding of what it takes to seamlessly move a project from point A to point B not to mention he is a pleasure to work with and instills complete confidence that the job will get done right.

As a home owner, one of the most frustrating aspects of a construction project is when you experience down time or delays which result in prolonging the length of the project.

Under Al’s leadership we not only had no down time but he seemed to manage each contractors arrival almost to the hour or in some cases they appeared to seamlessly overlap.

Not to mention the respect that Al gets from your contractors is also quite impressive and reassuring as a homeowner.

“Normandy was great through the entire process. They worked with us on the design and made updates as we went from our “perfect world” kitchen to one within the budget we had planned. Even though we had to make changes we still got a kitchen that we love! The work was completed in spring of 2013 and we still LOVE our kitchen today…three years later. Even now, I wouldn’t change a thing. The designer, Terry Tondelli, did a great job and the construction team was also fantastic. They kept the disruption to a minimum and they left the house in great shape when the work was done.”

“From the inception, Liz Reifschneider was a pleasure to work with.  She was so patient as we went through multiple revisions of the plan.  Once we finally decided on a plan, her patience really shined as we worked on picking finishes.  She helped us to work together to make these decisions, and worked with us as we constantly changed our minds. When things didn’t go as planned, she was there for us acting as our advocate to make sure the project was completed to our exact vision.

Al and the crew were great to work with.  We were living in the residence from the inception of the project to completion.  The crew were neat and respectful, and cleaned up at the end of every day.

We also want to make special mention of Rick  He is the best trim carpenter, and the most pleasant person.  Rick’s eye for detail is impeccable.  Rick was in our home while we were at work and on vacation.  HE cleaned up at the end of every day, and took extra precaution to limit the amount of dust in our house.  Rick’s nice enough to even accept package deliveries for us.

“The carpenters, plumbers, electricians, foreman, sales/design person, … were all very professional.  They were very considerate of keeping the rest of our home sealed off from the work area.  Since I was home every day that they were working, they explained every step so I understood.  When roadblocks arose, they were handled in a professional manner with positive outcomes.  They cleaned up the work area before leaving at the end of each day.  This was a long and stressful process – not having a kitchen for 6 weeks, But, all of the staff involved were understanding and very helpful. Communication was great.  I would do it again with Normandy if we ever had another kitchen to remodel and consider them for future projects.  It was one of the more expensive quotes we got, but their quality and workmanship are well worth the money.”

“This thank you note is well past due.  My wife Karen and I want to let you know how wonderful Chris Ebert and Al Lovas are.  Our remodel project was a complete success and exceeded our very high expectations.  We had wanted to remodel our house to create an open concept between our kitchen and family room.  Fortunately for us our good friends Ken and Melissa had worked with Chris on a remodel project a few years ago and referred Chris and Normandy to us.  They had such a good result that we called Chris and were confident that our project would be a great success too.  Well it was, but as you go through this process you realize how important it is to be dealing with the best.

We met with Chris and explained our ideas to him. He asked if this was our forever house.  We told him most likely not –  we would most likely move in about five years.  Chris listened.  His ideas and design helped us get what we wanted, but he kept us from spending more than we should with our time horizon.  We exchanged ideas and multiple designs but finally settled on Chris’s original concept.  He guided us through the most cost effective materials and products, showed us where to spend and where to save.   Chris suggested that we paint our dark wood stained trim and doors white – the result is a brand new house.

Al Lovas is the best.  And his crews are the best – Humberto, Craig, Daniel, Gerrard, and the tile guy and his son.   Friendly, skilled, talented, perfectionists – it was like they were doing their own houses.  The attention to detail was terrific.  Throughout the project they came up with smart ideas and recommendations to improve the final product.  When we were about to do something dumb, they explained and showed us what the right way to do it was.  They did this because of the pride they have in the work they do – they wanted it to be right.

Well the finished result is so fantastic. It is like we have a brand new house.  It is functional, it is great for entertaining, it is great for relaxing, it opens up the main living area to light and to our beautiful backyard. It is easy to care for and it has places for us to organize our stuff.  In our old kitchen there was a desk area that was an area that collected all sorts of stuff, much of which was junk. The new kitchen has a huge pantry with shelves and containers to organize items like mail, appliance warranties and instructions, etc etc.  So we keep in an organized way of what we want and we throw away our junk.

We would and will highly recommend Al, Chris and Normandy.
