"Normandy and the dream team we worked with Chris Ebert and Bruce Pettingill were outstanding. They transformed our home!!! And most important they did it ON TIME while I was 6 months pregnant. We hired them to convert our kitchen/dining room into a kitchen with a mudroom. Our home is over a hundred years old with a 18-year-old modem family room addition and my husband fondly referred to it as the Frankenstein house. He wasn't wrong - and the worst part about it was the disaster of the kitchen and the disproportionate amount of space from the old part of the home vs the new part. We had considered a couple of other firms, but from the minute Chris walked our entire home (even though he knew the project focus was only the kitchen) he won me over. He spent a lot of time learning about our home, lifestyle, tastes and asked thoughtful questions and truly served as a trusted advisor. Chris has a sharp eye and a strong vision - we knew we needed a firm like Normandy to really own the project from start to finish - but we thought we knew the direction of the design. What Chris proposed and designed was beyond anything we could have ever imagined - every single person who has walked into our home has marveled at the transformation. As soon as we hired Normandy, Chris guided us through a seamless process - his candor and honesty was so refreshing. We knew they were one of the more expensive firms, however he was considerate and conscientious of our budget and found creative ways to stay within the budget. He is a fantastic listener and kept our insights in mind. Both Chris and Bruce were outstanding communicators, and were extremely patient. Our only stipulation with hiring them was we needed to have the project completed by my due-date - May 21st Bruce and team started the work in Mid- February. I went into labor 3 days early and when I came home from the hospital my brand new kitchen had already been cleaned and was ready for our baby boy. My husband was a little skeptical before hiring Normandy but he has is a converted fan and has already started thinking about other projects with Normandy."

"We did an addition and extensive remodeling of existing space. Normandy understands that remodeling your home can be a very emotional experience. As such, having confidence that things are progressing as you would expect and that the odd issue that comes up is in good hands is essential (and they give you confidence in both - on schedule and on budget and that you are in good hands). My husband and I are both recovering Type A's so to be able to just sit back and let Normandy be in charge was a bit counter intuitive for us. Architect Vince Weber did an incredible job of listening to what our angst points were with our current layout, helped us understand design and cost trade-offs, knew what would be correct for the period/style of our house (which was important to us), was very patient as we considered lots of alternatives, and provided good counsel when we would occasionally be in really crazy idea territory (making sure to help preserve our long term investment). After working so well with Vince, we went through a bit of withdrawal when we moved to construction and were worried we could never have as good of a relationship on that side. Our Construction Superintendent Al Lovas was everything we could have hoped for and more. He doesn't accept anything less than perfection from the team, knows how to get things done, appreciates that you have placed your confidence in him, knows that you are spending a lot of money and wants you to get good value for it, is incredibly responsive (answered texts I would send at midnight!) and is simply one of the nicest people we have ever met. And somehow Al and Vince manage to stay in touch constantly. We never spoke to one when the other wasn't up to speed. They are a great team and we are so happy we picked Normandy. I was a bit nervous about picking a design/build firm vs. architect and bid, but after having been through the process now - SO glad we did. There were plenty of places in the project where an architect and contractor might have been pointing fingers at one another - Normandy just takes care of it."

"The quality of the materials, craftsmanship of the demolition crew, carpenters, and window installers was superb. All maintained a professional approach and afterward clean workspace. We had the old windows removed out to the masonry openings, all reframed, and Pella windows installed. The ability to get the window interiors and trim painted as well as installed was a big plus. "They did extensive remodeling in my home. They put in wood flooring, dry wall, ceiling, electric wiring, doors, windows and a light in my family room. They did the same in the kitchen including plumbing and the bedroom as well. In the bathroom, they put down new tile flooring, shower tiles and plumbing. The work took 6 months and the total area worked on measures 1,000 square feet.  They have an extremely good service and they handle practically everything. I believe that I definitely got my money s worth from Normandy Builders. They are very friendly, helpful, and in general they are good people."
