“I hired Normandy to remodel the back portion of my 1920’s home-mudroom, breakfast area, and kitchen. It was a total gut job of the entire area, including removing several load bearing walls and widening openings to open up the dining area to the kitchen. We added a hallway and closet to keep the power room tucked away from the kitchen. We took out large radiators, completely reconfigured plumbing and electric, insulated, leveled floors, added lighting, added new flooring and drywall, and added heat to the breakfast room and mudroom which had none. It took 15 weeks to get it all done and it was a big job. All the sub-contractors were polite and respectful and did a great job.
We are extremely pleased with the work. Normandy gave me 3 completely different designs for the area and I was able to mix and match what I liked about each design. I worked with Leslie Molloy who is amazing and blew me away with her design. She reconfigured our main floor and improved the flow and function of the house. Everyone who sees the main floor loves it and cannot get over how different it is and how much better it works now. It was more work that I had originally intended to do, but once we saw the design, we saw immediately that it was the best way to go. It was more money than I had expected to spend, but it made sense since it was much more work that I had intended to do. Since I am only doing a kitchen renovation once, this was well worth it to me to go forward with her design.
We felt extremely comfortable working with Leslie and she helped us stay on budget with all of our selections. She was able to combine materials and colors in ways that I cannot do and the end result matches our house and who we are. She thought of many things we did not think of and now really appreciate. It was easy and fun to choose all the items. She was excellent at communicating everything about the design and we got updates from the project superintendent daily too. I would hire Normandy again for my next project when the time comes.”
