Glam Coffee Bar Ideas
Normandy Designer Kathryn O’Donovan took on the task of redesigning our dated coffee bar in the showroom – and she did a fabulous job! “I decided, overall, it should represent a transitional aesthetic with a touch of glam,” says Kathryn. “Transitional is the number one style in the industry right now and it is definitely what Normandy designers are designing and incorporating into many current projects.”
When it came to the color scheme, Kathryn was able to incorporate trends she’s seeing in the industry. “Greys are the new beige so I wanted to do a dark rich charcoal grey to offset all the glitz in the antiqued mirrors and glass tile. In order for it to not appear too dark, I infused pops of coordinating colors with the glass tile, the sink and the back of the open wall cabinet,” commented Kathryn.
Kathryn’s favorite part of the new coffee bar? “There’s too many to pick just one,” joked Kathryn. “I love the antiqued mirrors, the crystal knobs, and the cubbies for the coffee flavors. I can’t forget the Rohl triflow filtered faucet (the water is so good!), the recessed wall niche to hide coffee bar items… All in all, I just love how well the whole project came together.”
