These clients were seeking a home addition that would incorporate an area off of the master bedroom that would serve as their private retreat and home office, in addition to updating their master bathroom at the same time. It’s a rule of thumb that if you can tell there was an addition to a home, that the project was lacking in the design department. “In this Arlington Heights home addition, I thought it was important to create interesting roof lines to really complement and better integrate it with the rest of the home,” says Troy. “This also created a more interesting interior space.” The interior now features an updated bathroom and a cozy retreat for the homeowners, which includes a space for a home office.
