2022 Chrysalis Award

Normandy Remodeling Wins Regional Award for Residential Interior

Remodeling a vintage home is a careful balance of retaining the character while limiting the quirks. Normandy Designer Jackie Jensen helped a La Grange family stay true to the charm of their 1930s home while improving the layout and updating the functionality. It paid off, big time and the delighted homeowners aren’t the only ones who noticed. Their remodel caught the attention of the judges too, who named it a Regional Award Winner in the 2022 Chrysalis Awards for their interior renovation.

Careful attention to detail helped this family seamlessly blend the old with the new in this whole home remodel and the results are simply stunning. “Reconfiguring this home for family life in the 2020s was key for this remodel,” says Jackie. Entire rooms were swapped to improve flow, while staying true to the home’s original elements.

“We are honored by this award, but more, we’re humbled by the trust this family gave us. We created a gorgeous space together where they can entertain and live out many happy years to come.”
