Elizabeth and Jimmy wanted their Kenilworth kitchen to feel brighter, more open, and better suited to the way their family lives. The goal of these previous Normandy clients was simple: create a welcoming space where everyone could gather comfortably around the island.

The transformation with Normandy Designer Vince Weber began by removing a wall that once closed off the kitchen from the family room and breakfast area. With the space opened up, soft blue cabinetry and polished chrome finishes were introduced to enhance the light and add elegance.

At the heart of the kitchen is a large island that quickly became the family’s favorite spot. Custom storage details complete the space, including a built-in charging drawer for electronics and streamlined freezer and refrigerator drawers designed for everyday convenience.

A panel of judges from NARI Greater Chicagoland agreed that Vince’s kitchen design and layout shift was one to celebrate, honoring it with a 2025 Remodeler of the Year Award, which marks his fifth! We are honored to have our work recognized by our peers.
