This charming kitchen remodel by Normandy Designer Kathryn O’Donovan received a 2024 Master Design Award for the project titled “Eclectic Kitchen Inspired By Antiques.”

This kitchen design won a silver Master Design Award, sponsored by Qualified Remodeler magazine; founded in 1975, it was the first magazine dedicated to serving the residential remodeling market.

The owners of this Elmhurst, IL home wanted to integrate their beloved antiques, along with some eclectic found items, into this kitchen remodel. Kathryn worked to update the space while retaining its vintage charm. Nominees are judged on aesthetic appeal, construction techniques used, handling of unusual situations, attention to detail, functionality of space and overall impression of the project.
