“This included classic, marble-like textures and a flat panel style of cabinetry doors in a rich cherry color,” added Jennifer.
Not wanting too much upkeep, the homeowners requested low -maintenance materials include quartz countertops and a marble-like porcelain tile in the shower. Both of these materials are easy to clean and take care of. Additionally, they are beautiful options, so style wasn’t sacrificed.
Storage was also important and the new space has plenty to offer. Needing better linen storage, a tall cabinet was added. A seated makeup-area also provided a dedicated space to store cosmetics while drastically improving the getting ready experience in the morning. Lastly, a dual vanity with recessed medicine cabinets provided ample storage for toiletries.
The tub deck took up too much space and needed to go. The homeowners requested that a free-standing soaking tub be put in instead.
“I loved that we incorporated a free-standing tub,” said Jennifer. “There are three reasons this it works really well. The first is that it is a beautiful focal point. The second is because it pairs really well with the soft, marble-like colors in the space. Lastly, it helps to complete the modernized look of the bathroom.”
