A New Stylish Kitchen for a Vintage Wilmette Home

A little color and a few thoughtful updates gave this kitchen a whole new look while keeping the vintage character of this Wilmette home intact. The green picket tile backsplash is an eye-catching detail, complemented by a furniture-style walnut island, brass accents and soft neutral cabinetry. These finishes feel right at home in a 100-year-old house and won’t feel dated anytime soon. The new peninsula and window-wall cabinetry create more room for cooking, gathering and keeping an eye on the kids in the adjoining family room.
