Is a Floating Vanity Right for your Bathroom Remodel?

Floating vanity, dual shower headFloating vanities are gaining in popularity and popping up in bathroom remodels more frequently. You may have seen them (and love them) and wonder if they are right for you.  “A floating vanity is a bathroom cabinet that is anchored to the wall but does not extend all the way to the floor as standard vanities do, which creates the illusion it is floating in the space,” said Normandy Designer Liz Reifschneider.

When to choose a floating vanity according to Liz:

•   For tight spaces. Since a floating vanity does not extend to the floor they feel lighter within the space and make the bathroom appear larger.
•   For households with children. The floor clearance allows space to store a stool and mop in those hard to reach places.
•   To show off your flooring. If you planning to put in a gorgeous floor, show it off by not covering it with a traditional vanity.
•   For flexible storage options. Whether you need less or more storage, floating vanities offer drawers, cabinets, and open shelving options. You can pick what works best for you.

If you’re wondering if it makes since to include a floating vanity in your bathroom remodel, you can set up a time with Liz to talk about all the different aspects of your renovation.
